Do we ever fully know those we love?
Freddie Lark’s sister Blythe has been dead for ten years – though she has the disconcerting habit of appearing in Freddie life on the regular. Now, Freddie has been approached by an old student of Blythe’s who says the school where Blythe taught is about to name her as the culprit in a financial scandal over a decade old.
Freddie is certain her sister is innocent and the accusation a misunderstanding. But when she begins to investigate she finds the school is serious about the charges, and also convinced Blythe is at fault. As Freddie digs deeper, trying to clear her sister’s name, she is horrified to find the facts pointing towards Blythe’s guilt and begins to doubt she knew her beloved older sibling as well as she thought she did.
Fans of Stephanie Plum and Robert B. Parker’s Spenser mysteries will love Freddie Lark, a tenacious, independent sleuth who is a heroine set firmly in the 21st century. This series is perfect for readers who like their mysteries with well-drawn characters, a fast moving plot, and lots of heart.
